Dear Members and Friends,
Following the interesting and enjoyable trip to Genoa to visit the Conservatorio delle Fieschine, as guests of the Marquises Crosa di Vergagni, a special opportunity has arisen for the Friends of the Hanbury Botanical Gardens to take part in a workshop on rose picking and petal separation of the two ancient centifolia roses cultivated in the spectacular garden of Viviane Crosa in Savignone. This will be followed by a show cooking demonstration of the traditional rose syrup produced according to a secret recipe from the Genoese hinterland.
A tasting of the syrup, together with rose jam and rose jelly, accompanied by a toast, will bring our day to a close.
Please find below the information required in order to participate:
Thursday, 28 May 2026 – meeting at 4:00 p.m. Piazza della Chiesa 3, SAVIGNONE, Alta Val Scrivia
A contribution of €15 is requested as a donation, payable on site in cash.
