We are delighted to inaugurate a series of gatherings, which we hope will become monthly events, at our headquarters in Vicolo Hanbury 1, La Mortola. These meetings, christened “Tea Party” by our board member Bruno Manzone, will begin with a talk on Queen Margherita of Savoy and her love for the gardens of Bordighera and Ventimiglia, presented by our member and writer Gisella Merello, author of the delightful book on the subject.

To make the day even more enjoyable and worthwhile, particularly for members travelling from further afield, we are also organising a guided visit in the morning to the Jardin Exotique in Monaco, which has recently reopened after six years of restoration and improvement works.
The visit has been arranged as follows: meeting at 9:50 am at the entrance to the gardens, 62 Boulevard du Jardin Exotique, for a guided tour of the Botanical Centre lasting approximately one hour (private group tour subject to reaching 20 participants), followed by free time to explore the gardens after hearing their history.
The cost for a group of 20 participants will be €12 per person; €15 per person if fewer than 20 participants attend.
There will be the possibility either to stop at the garden café/bar or to have lunch elsewhere before making your way to La Mortola for the 4:00 pm event.
We are already collecting expressions of interest, particularly for the garden visit, so that we may confirm the guided tour booking (which will most likely be conducted in French).
